Well, in this blog post, I will be mainly telling you about my current reading habits. Well, the first non-baby book I read was a book from Enid Blyton, well, when I first read the book, that was the start of addictive reading. I was fascinated with the type of words that are used to describe things that happens in our daily life. Not only did Enid Blyton's book introduce me to reading, it also introduced me to another type of story other than fairy tales which namely are, adventure and detective stories which intrigues me every time I read such stories. It also made me an avid fan of mystery stories.
When I grew older, I moved on from Enid Blyton to a series named, " The Hardy Boys " written by many different authors between 1927 and 1979. Leslie McFarlane was the first author to write under the pen name Franklin W. Dixon, which he did for over 20 volumes. I was amazed at the wits and skills of these amateur detectives.
Finally, when I was in Primary 6, I moved on to novels written by many different authors. Examples are: The Howling Tower (written by Michael Coleman), A Girl Named Disaster ( written by Nancy Farmer), etc.
Well, I treat reading as a hobby and an interesting one at that. Reading can also be used to kill time.
