Plagiarism is a kind of fraud. In academia, plagiarism is considered as a very serious offence. How exactly do you define plagiarism? Plagiarism can be defined as copying and pasting others' work, etc.
Plagiarism occurs more often than you think. If you copy your classmates project and hand it in as your own, it is also plagiarism. If you take information from a certain website but did not acknowledge it, it can also be considered as a case of plagiarism.
Although many of us know that plagiarism is wrong, we still plagiarise without ourselves knowing it. Plagiarism can be very serious, especially if you infringe copyright. People who often plagiarise are often journalists and reporters.
With the introduction of the Internet, plagiarism occurs more commonly than before the introduction of the Internet. An advice: Always remember not to plagiarise!
